Eastside Avian and Exotic Animal Medical Center Staff

We are a practice limited to birds, ferrets, rabbits, rodents, marsupials, insectivores, reptiles, amphibians, fish, invertebrates and all other companion exotic pets. Our goal is to provide leading-edge preventive care, diagnostics, comprehensive medical and surgical services, and a full range of husbandry supplies for all birds and exotic companion animals in the Puget Sound area.

Why an Avian and Exotic Exclusive Practice?

The discipline of veterinary medicine includes an enormous medley of animal species -- all with unique health care and husbandry requirements. In addition to cats and dogs, people are keeping a diversity of companion animals that range from Anole lizards to Zebra finches. And these animals require the attention of veterinarians with specialized, in-depth training in the care of these less common and frequently popular pets.

Our doctors at Eastside Avian & Exotic Animal Medical Center have this training and work continually to expand their knowledge and skills, and are dedicated to educating our clients about their pets.

Many health and behavior problems with birds and exotic pets are the result of an unsuitable environment or inadequate diet. People acquire exotic pets for different reasons-many are simply captivated by an animal’s uniqueness. Unfortunately, new owners often receive faulty information on the care and feeding of an animal, and may know little or nothing about its natural history.

At Eastside Avian & Exotic Animal Medical Center we emphasize preventive medicine and appropriate husbandry-diet, housing, substrate, lighting, temperature, humidity, and environmental enrichment-all essential for the health and wellbeing of each species and each individual pet.

Our goal is to keep your pet healthy and happy by providing leading-edge preventive care, diagnostics, comprehensive medical and surgical services, and a full range of husbandry supplies for all birds and companion exotic animals.

Dr. Johnson-Delaney and Dr. Kamaka want you to enjoy the experience of keeping an exotic pet. They will provide your pet with the best preventive and specialized medical care available, and they will work closely with you to ensure you have the information and tools necessary to maintain your pet in a healthy environment with a nutritionally complete diet.
